Data is gone

I just purchased the previous version if this app, and spent hours manually inputting historical data. I had both iCloud and Dropbox backups set up. I updated to the newest version, and everything is gone. I tried restoring from both iCloud and Dropbox, but no luck. Whats the point of having backups if you cant import them?
